Shades of Grey

Hi everyone!
Today I'm here with the card I made for CAS-ual Fridays #129 challenge, and the challenge is to use at least 2 shades of grey.

The first color combo that came to me is - grey & pink.
I had the perfect paper pad for this challenge - Bo Bunny Isabella . I love all the patterns and colors in this collection.

I've made a 5,5 x 5,5 inch card.
I've trimmed the pattern paper mat quarter of an inch smaller than the card base and white mat quarter smaller than the pattern paper.
I've put the foam squares behind the pattern paper to give some dimension to the card.

For the focal point I used  the largest butterfly in the Spellbinder Wonderful Wings die set.
I started out with some watercolor paper and used my watercolors to make my own panel.
From that panel I've die cut the butterfly and some mini hearts from the SSS Holiday Shapes die set.

I've made my own sentiment banner by scoring the strip of paper twice on both sides.
The sentiment is from Croatian Sentiments by Jane's Doodles and it means Happy Birthday.

I've added some rhinestones from my stash to the butterfly and some mini ones to the two hearts.
I really like how this card turned out.

I'm also linking this card to Vickys blog. She's having an amazing giveaway so go to her blog and check it out. I'm telling you - you don't want to miss this giveaway.

See you tomorrow - I have another card to share with you!
Have a nice day,
Andrea

Get Well card for a friend

Hi everyone!
Today I'm sharing a card I've made for a friend who, unfortunately, doesn't fell good and she's in a hospital.
I wanted to make something that will cheer her up and there's nothing better than a sparkly card. :)

I've made 3 strokes on a card base using silver ink . It gave a nice, subtle shine and I like the way it turned out.

I wanted the sentiment to stand out so I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black ( in Croatian it means - Get Well, Jane Doodles stamp ) on the Spellbinders Label 14 and popped it up with some foam squares.

Behind the sentiment I've put a strip of glitter ribbon from my stash.

For additional touches I used silver sequins, and to add more color to the card I've die cut some SSS Holiday Shapes stars from this green-turquoise cardstock.

I'm linking this card to Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge . The theme is Bling It Up!

See you soon,
Andrea

Hi everyone!
In my first post (yeey) I wanted to share two baby cards I made a few months ago.
I really enjoy making cards for babies and kids.
I made one for the boy and one for the girl.
Simple but cute! :)

Thanks for visiting!
